Fourni (or Fournoi) is a sprawling, rugged archipelago tucked between Samos, Ikaria, and Patmos. The bay of Petrokopio, once an ancient marble quarry, is perhaps the most famous anchorage in the archipelago; its emerald waters and white-stone seabed make it one of the most stunning swimming spots in the entire Aegean.

Fourni is famously known as the "island of fishermen." With one of the largest fishing fleets per capita in Greece, the quality of seafood here is widely considered the best in the Aegean.
